Thursday night was the premiere of my buddy Tap’s new show, Not Cool Like Us. He’d gotten a starring role in this web show set in San Antonio. Tap is really talented and driven (a potent combination), so while we were really happy that he’d gotten the part, none of us were really surprised that he did! I originally thought I couldn’t attend the premiere due to logistics and had told Tap on Wednesday that I wouldn’t be going. But I decided on Thursday morning to ride with my friend Shashank, because I really wanted to be there! I didn’t tell Tap that I would be able to go after all, so I could keep it a surprise. Right before I walked in the theater, I sent Tap a text saying that I was sorry I couldn’t be there but to have fun. Man, I will never forget Tap’s reaction when I walked over to him. He was all, “WHAT THE FUCK!” and jumped up. Best reaction ever. It was a great night to spend with friends and I will cherish those memories.
